This giving circle is formed with Jewish values and communal identity at the forefront. Members are comprised of San Diego young professionals looking to build a deeper personal connection with other like-minded young Jewish adults, and to express their Jewish identity through philanthropic giving and commitment to essential human-care services. The Emerging Leaders at JFS infuse Jewish learning throughout the meetings and grant-making process to both inform the group's mission and on-going identity.
Grantmaking will be primarily focused on giving to impact areas within JFS San Diego which are: self-sufficiency, aging with dignity, and community connection. These impact areas encompass essential human-care services like food assistance, transportation, employment assistance, case management, counseling, and much more. After undergoing an extensive year-long strategic planning process, JFS has identified our unique position within the San Diego community as leaders in empowering individuals to thrive, versus merely surviving day to day.
