Tikkun is a giving circle dedicated to combating Jewish poverty. We are looking to fund organizations doing innovative work to combat Jewish poverty locally, nationally, and internationally. For the spring/summer of 2016 we will be focusing on local organizations.

Tikkun is open to anyone who is interested. Families contribute $1000 per year, but are encouraged to give more to particular grantees if they are so inspired. We meet in person once per month. For three months, we meet with one organization per month. Each organization presents an innovative project or program that combats Jewish poverty. At the fourth meeting, we vote on the three organizations that presented. We therefore make one grant every four months.
