Are you interested in a leadership role in the philanthropic and Jewish innovation sector? Do
you want to be a critical piece of an entrepreneurial, creative organization that is empowering
people of all ages, giving levels, and passions to give thoughtfully in ways connected to their
values? If so, then you might be the right person to join Amplifier as our Program Director.
Who We Are
Amplifier builds and sustains giving circles inspired by Jewish values that empower people to give in a new way: more intentionally, more meaningfully, and in community. Giving circles become vehicles for collective action, and also create new opportunities to connect with Jewish life.
Amplifier catalyzes the creation of new giving circles around the world, trains and convenes a growing network of more than 120 giving circles, and provides critical backbone infrastructure and programming for the field. Amplifier is also a leader in the national giving circle movement, working with partner networks and organizations across the American philanthropic sector to elevate collective giving nationwide.
Amplifier is a small organization poised for growth with a smart, warm, and creative staff. Our team is flexible, collaborative, and willing to perform all of the tasks associated with running a small organization. We’re located at the dynamic 120 E 23rd Street WeWork coworking space.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a team player with a deep entrepreneurial spirit to join us in the role of Program Director. The Program Director will assume responsibility for designing and executing Amplifier’s programs, and will work closely with the Executive Director and Community Manager to create new interventions and consulting engagements as Amplifier expands its reach.
We’re seeking someone who is proactive, creative, strategic, mature, resourceful and willing to perform all of the tasks associated with being part of a small and constantly evolving organization. You love bringing groups of people together, and know what it takes to build strong, action-driven communities. You have excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to interact easily with givers of all ages and levels of giving, with Amplifier’s partners in the giving circle, foundation, and nonprofit sectors, and with service providers and vendors.
What You’ll Do
The Program Director will report to Amplifier’s Executive Director and will work closely with
Amplifier’s Community Manager.
We are hoping to hire and onboard this position as soon as possible. Please send resume, cover letter with salary expectations, and a list of three references to [email protected] .
